Team Vic - SSV - Basketball

Each year, School Sport Victoria (SSV) offers opportunities for students in Year 6 who play representative sport to trial for “Team Vic” in various sports. This year, Violet (6DD) and Tayte (6BC) were invited to trial for basketball in their respective age groups. 

Tayte participated in the Region trials and was selected through to Conference level. His efforts at Conference saw the journey end for Tayte but he enjoyed the experience and learned much that he can take away and add to his “Basketball Toolkit”. 

Violet moved straight to Conference Trials due to the low number of female entries in her age group. She trialled well enough to move on to the State Selections which will occur in the holidays.

Congratulations to both Tayte and Violet for their outstanding efforts at this higher level sport and to parents who made themselves available to take them to their respective trial events.
