CONFIRMATION 2022, from Fr Janeesh

Dear Parents/Carers,

The sacrament of Confirmation is one of the sacraments of initiation and completes the sacrament of Baptism. It renews in us the gift of the Holy Spirit which were given to the Apostles on Pentecost Sunday. Celebration of the sacraments is an integral part of our faith formation. You can help your child prepare in many ways, e.g., attending Mass regularly and ensuring your child know Mass responses and prayers.

There are several key dates for you to set aside as we work together to prepare your child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 19 August 2022 at 5pm or 7pm.

Parent Workshop 

          When: Tuesday 2 August 2022

         Time:  7.00 pm 

Where: St Patrick’s Parish Hall, 142 Princes Highway, Pakenham

This workshop is only for parents and will be led by Fr Elio Capra 

Attending Weekend Masses 

The second commitment is attendance at one of the weekend Masses at St Patrick’s Parish during the weekends of Saturday 6 August and Sunday 7 August or Saturday 13 August or Sunday 14 August.

Mass times: Sat 6pm, Sun 9am, 10.30am and 5pm

Confirmation Date 

Friday 19 August - 5pm or 7pm. 

Each student will require a Sponsor who is over 16 years of age and a baptised practicing Catholic. Bookings and other important information will be given at the parent workshop. For more information please contact:
