Principal's message - 15th of December

Newsletter Thursday 15th December, 2022

We the staff of St Patrick’s acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.

We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.

We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.

Luke 7:24-30

'A prophet, and much more than a prophet'

When John’s messengers had gone, Jesus began to talk to the people about John. ‘What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the breeze? No? Then what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Oh no, those who go in for fine clothes and live luxuriously are to be found at court! Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet: he is the one of whom scripture says:
See, I am going to send my messenger before you;
he will prepare the way before you.

‘I tell you, of all the children born of women, there is no one greater than John; yet the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he is. All the people who heard him, and the tax collectors too, acknowledged God’s plan by accepting baptism from John; but by refusing baptism from him the Pharisees and the lawyers had thwarted what God had in mind for them.’

Good afternoon Parents/carers and guardians,

Welcome to the final newsletter of 2022!

This week on Tuesday and Wednesday, we held our end of year awards and these were incredibly special for all involved. Awards were presented for Japanese, STEM, Most Improved, Academic Excellence, Physical Education and Christian Living. How delightful it was to see so many parents and other family members turn up to see these presentations.

What an incredible year it has been for everyone! I am so proud of the students and all their hard work. It has been delightful to see how much they have grown and matured. It is humbling as we reach the end of the school year and we prepare to say goodbye to our graduating class of 2022, our year 6s and of course to the other families who are leaving St Patrick’s at the end of the school year.

I would like to take the time to thank all of our parent community for your support in ensuring both school and home are the building blocks for our students. I pray that your Christmas is a safe and Holy one filled with families, friends, laughter, love and treasured moments. My wish is that you are safe over this Christmas holiday and take the time to recharge.

Take care and God Bless,

Meg

New NOONE uniform shop now open!

We are delighted to announce that the new Noone Officer store is open. Please find attached the location map and information flyer.  Our school uniform will be available at this location from this date going forward.  I encourage you to go and visit the store and have a look any time you are free.

Attached for your convenience the new student fitting letter for the 2023 new students.  This letter has the direct link to their online booking calendar for parents to make an appointment for a uniform fitting at the new Officer store.

Noone offers a Lay-by system where no deposit needs to be paid. The process is that the uniform is stored away until you are ready to collect it and when you do, you do not have to pay for all of the items at once. For e.g. You set aside 5 pieces of uniform in December and when you collect in January, you may only want 3 items and these are the items you pay for and the other 2 are kept aside for you.
