Harmony Day
HARMONY DAY TUESDAY 21ST MARCH - Wear cultural dress or something orange and gold coin donation
At St. Patrick's school we embrace our vibrant and multicultural school in various ways. One of those ways is during Harmony Week which is celebrated during the week of 20th March. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background united by a set of core Australian values. Orange is the colour chosen to commonly represent Harmony Week. We encourage the children to wear something orange or their cultural dress on Tuesday 21st March to show their support for cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia. We also ask for a gold coin donation on this day and our Grade 6 Social Justice leaders will collect the money and donate it towards the earthquake appeal for Turkey and Syria survivors.
