Myanmar Chin Community Meeting
We have organised our very first Myanmar Chin Community Meeting on Tuesday, 12 June.
All Myanmar Chin families were invited to attend the meeting and morning tea were prepared for them.
The purposes of this meeting were:
- to establish parent-school relationship
- to understand the school system, eg. platform used, communication modes
- parents to learn ways to support their children in learning, eg. Soundwaves
- parents to gain information about local council services, eg. Living and Learning Inc. Pakenham
- parents getting to know our school support staff, eg. Leadership team, Multicultural Education Aids, EAL Teacher
Despite the extreme weather, there were 17 parents who turned up for the meeting.
It was a great beginning for everyone.
