2 JM have made an amazing start to the 2025 school year.

We have been focusing on Recount writing for the start of the term.

Here is a recount we created as a class about our experience swimming.

We have focused on the 4Ws (who, what, when and where) and time connectives.

For the last two weeks, Year Twos have been going swimming at Splash.

First we need to get dressed into our bathers so we can go into the pool.

Then we got into different swimming groups with about five or six children in each group.

Next we learn different swimming skills and strokes. We also played a sinking game where the teacher throws sinkee’s into the water and the children have to get them.

Finally we got dressed and walked back to school.

We always finish a Recount with how we felt about the activity.
