This term, 5SA has been learning about the history of Australia in Inquiry and the history of the church in Australia. We read historical fiction about life in the colonial times, specifically the gold rush and Eureka Stockade, which was a major event in shaping modern-day Australia. Imagining ourselves as students from colonial times and writing letters about our school life was a fun activity.

We enjoyed working in groups to design our Year 6 jumper for next year.  

The book week parade had some mesmerising costumes like The Lorax and The Optimus Prime. The teachers dressed up as characters from the book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, which was the grade 5s' shared reading.
