We the staff of St Patrick’s acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.

We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.

We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.

Luke 7:24-30

'A prophet, and much more than a prophet'

When John’s messengers had gone, Jesus began to talk to the people about John. ‘What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swaying in the breeze? No? Then what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? Oh no, those who go in for fine clothes and live luxuriously are to be found at court! Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet: he is the one of whom scripture says:
See, I am going to send my messenger before you;
he will prepare the way before you.

‘I tell you, of all the children born of women, there is no one greater than John; yet the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he is. All the people who heard him, and the tax collectors too, acknowledged God’s plan by accepting baptism from John; but by refusing baptism from him the Pharisees and the lawyers had thwarted what God had in mind for them.’

Good afternoon Parents/carers and guardians,

Welcome to the final newsletter of 2022!

This week on Tuesday and Wednesday, we held our end of year awards and these were incredibly special for all involved. Awards were presented for Japanese, STEM, Most Improved, Academic Excellence, Physical Education and Christian Living. How delightful it was to see so many parents and other family members turn up to see these presentations.

What an incredible year it has been for everyone! I am so proud of the students and all their hard work. It has been delightful to see how much they have grown and matured. It is humbling as we reach the end of the school year and we prepare to say goodbye to our graduating class of 2022, our year 6s and of course to the other families who are leaving St Patrick’s at the end of the school year.

I would like to take the time to thank all of our parent community for your support in ensuring both school and home are the building blocks for our students. I pray that your Christmas is a safe and Holy one filled with families, friends, laughter, love and treasured moments. My wish is that you are safe over this Christmas holiday and take the time to recharge.

Take care and God Bless,

Meg

New NOONE uniform shop now open!

We are delighted to announce that the new Noone Officer store is open. Please find attached the location map and information flyer.  Our school uniform will be available at this location from this date going forward.  I encourage you to go and visit the store and have a look any time you are free.

Attached for your convenience the new student fitting letter for the 2023 new students.  This letter has the direct link to their online booking calendar for parents to make an appointment for a uniform fitting at the new Officer store.

Noone offers a Lay-by system where no deposit needs to be paid. The process is that the uniform is stored away until you are ready to collect it and when you do, you do not have to pay for all of the items at once. For e.g. You set aside 5 pieces of uniform in December and when you collect in January, you may only want 3 items and these are the items you pay for and the other 2 are kept aside for you.

In Year 4AT we have been reading a book called "A Long Walk to Water" by Linda Sue Park. It is based on a true story about a refugee called Salwa who was one of the Lost Boys of Sudan. After he was relocated to America he started a project to drill wells in Africa.

Here are some letter the students wrote to a character in the book:

This year it coincides with Christmas Day day. Our plan is to provide a takeaway meal that celebrates Christmas as special and joy filled. It will be a feast of cold ham and turkey with special festive salads and desserts. Your help would be appreciated in preparing the yuletide salads and/or desserts. Different and exciting as well as scrumptious is the keyword. Perhaps your “signature” dish would be most suitable. Your donation will need to be teed up with Herbie on 0419 223 631 beforehand and delivered between 8-10am on Saturday (Christmas Eve) for packaging. Thank you to the many parishioners who have supported Paddy's during 2022. Your generosity is very much appreciated. Merry Christmas.

Have you set up your PAM account yet!

Parent Notified Absences via PAM

Once you have PAM set up and saved to your home screen you can easily send in Parent Notified absences.   Please use this platform going forward as this automatically syncs with the class roll.   This will fix the issues of receiving SMS notifications even though you had already notified the school.

Please remember to update your contact details and any relevant medical details for your child.

Most medical profiles have now been updated. Please remember to keep them up to date and upload any asthma/allergy plans that may be relevant

To update any contact details please contact the school office.
